Coorg
Easily one of the most attractive regions in India, Coorg or Kodagu is an
enchanting expanse of natural tourist spot that nestles amid the hills and
valleys of the picturesque Western Ghats.
The Kodagu people have always stood apart handsome, brave and hospitable. A distinguished martial tradition has given the Indian Army several Generals and Brigadiers.
Known by their special variants of wearing the saree, the Kodagu women are graceful and beautiful. Kodagu district has several tourist spots of historic, epic and natural importance.
Kodagu has three taluks- Madikeri,
Virajpet and Somwarpet. Steep hills, valleys and gorges with countless
streams that gurgle through them, beckon intrepid trekkers and rock
climbers.

Day 01 Mysore – Coorg
Arrive Mysore early morning break fast proceed to Cool, beautiful-with
lovely walks, wonderful views of the sea, and old buildings such as a
historic fort and a palace-the small hill station of Coorg Madikeri, 125
km west of Mysore at an elevation of 1,525 meters, is set in the heart of the
exotic coffee-growing country. Over night at hotel.
Day 02 Coorg
After early morning break fast proceed to local sight seeing. Over night
at hotel.
Day 03 Coorg – Bangalore
After early morning break fast proceed to Government Museum .It is
situated at Kasturba Gandhi Road, Cubbon Park. Visit - Thursday to Tuesday
1000 -1700. This is one of the oldest museum which existed in the country,
opened in 1886. Bannerghatta National Park The Park, Ramohalli The fabled
big banyan tree spread over 4 acres is an interesting picnic spot. Nehru
Planetarium. Over night at hotel.
Day 04 Bangalore Departure
After
breakfast check-out of the hotel and transfer to the Airport / Station to
connect to onward destination.
Wayanad, is
situated in an elevated picturesque mountainous plateau in Western Ghats.
Providing a panorama of undulating mist clad hills and dales, Wayanad is
blessed with a unique geographical position. Luxuriant plantations of
coffee, tea, cardamom, pepper and rubber are strewn all over the hills of
Wayanad. Situated at a height of 700-2100 m above sea level, it is bound
on the east by the Nilgiris and the Mysore districts of Tamilnadu and Karnataka
respectively.
It shares the borders with Coorg district of Karnataka on
the north, on the south with Malappuram
district and on the west with Calicut and Cannanore districts. The natural
scenic beauty of Wayanad and its rich natural resources offer several
opportunities for adventure tourism.

Wayanad (Vythri) 4 Nights / 5 Days
Day 01 Mysore / Coorg

Arrive Mysore. On arrival proceed to Coorg (150 km), enroute visit famous
Nisarghadhama, island near Kushalnagar. Go for optional boating or
Elephant ride (subject to availability), on arrival check in to the
resort. Day free to relax. Overnight at Coorg.
Day 02 Coorg
After early morning break fast proceed to local sight seeing. Over night
at hotel.
Day 03 Coorg / Wayanad (Vythri)
After breakfast proceed to Wayanad (150 Kms), check in on arrival to
Vythri Resort. Afternoon half day tour visiting to Lakkidi - the gateway
to Wayanad, is situated 700m above the sea level, lofty peaks, gurgling
streams and luxuriant forests, then visit Ambalavayal Heritage Museum -
housing artifacts and belongings of the various tribes of the land.
Overnight at the Resort.
Day 04 Wayanad (Vythri)
Morning breakfast; proceed for full day sight seeing, visiting to Pookot
Lake- this perennial fresh water lake, nestled among wooded hills, is the
only one of its kind in Kerala. Boating facilities, children's park and a
fresh water aquarium are among the tourist facilities available here, and
then visit Meenmutty Waterfalls. Evening free and overnight.
Day 05 Wayanad / Calicut
Morning breakfast, checkout and proceed to Calicut (80 Kms) to board your
flight or train.
Departure transfer to Airport to board flight to onward destination.
