Day 01 Kochi
On arrival at Kochi International Airport / Railway Station, you are
transferred to Brunton Boatyard, Fort Kochi. Set amidst lagoons and
backwaters on the Malabar coast, Kochi is also known as the Venice of
the East. Late afternoon a special sunset harbour cruise will set
the tone for your cherished holiday. Overnight at Brunton Boatyard.
Day 02 Kochi
Morning visit
the Dutch Palace - with its 17 century murals of Ramayana, Jewish
synagogue built in 1568 - contains grand scroll of the Old Testament,
Fort Kochi and St.Francis Church - the oldest European church in India.
Afternoon witness Kathakali dance performance and stroll down to the
beach to see Chinese fishing nets.
Day 03 Kochi - Periyar
After breakfast drive to Periyar National Park, noted for its elephant
herds and a rich variety of bird life. The journey is spectacular,
leaving the plains behind passing through rubber, tea and finally spice
country enroute stop at a Planters Bungalow for rest and lunch before
proceeding to Spice Village. Overnight at Spice Village.
Day 04 Periyar
Early mornings are the best time for spotting herds of elephants, bison,
deer and spectacular bird life (140 species of orchid thrive here).
Later visit the spice plantations and rest of the day free.
Overnight at Spice village.
Day 05 Periyar
Visit the farm
lands of a village lying on the valley beyond the mountains of Periyar.
Lunch at Spice Village.
Fix an
appointment with your naturalist for an introduction to various spices
and tiger club show. Tiger club slide shows brighten your eyes to
familiarize with wild animals and birds that are found in Periyar Lake.
Day 06 Periyar - Kumarakom
After breakfast drive to Kumarakom and hop on to a boat to Coconut
Lagoon, an eco-friendly resort created from restored heritage homes, set
in a web of canals on the banks of the Kavanar river. Enjoy a
presentation on "conquering the coconut" - where you can witness how the
coconut is being plucked, de-husked, broken, grated and cooked. Evening
find yourself on a sun-set cruise on the lake, in a converted rice boat
adrift to a flute accompaniment. Overnight at Coconut Lagoon.
Day 07 Kumarakom
A walk to
the village nearby accompanied by naturalist. Spend the afternoon
on intricate keralean seafood dishes. Overnight at Coconut lagoon.
Day 08 Kumarakom - Houseboat
After breakfast
get ready to board the Houseboat - traditional houseboats of Kerala
called Kettuvallam. The cruise offers the visitor of Kerala to a
entirely new kind of experience combining water dining, pleasure boating
and ecological living. You will cruise through the canals of Kumarakom
and Allepey.
Day 09 - 13 At Mararikulam
After
breakfast, drive to
Marari Beach Resort. Check-in to an independent villa at the
Marari Beach.
Marari beach
resort is not just the sand and the sea. It is the living
environment that surrounds it. It is not the place for a raucous
beach holiday. There are no real parties here. No noisy
water scooter but for those seeking to undue the stress of the city life
and experience a completely new place, it is a perfect spot.
After lunch relax in the coconut groove. Evening engage in good music.
Overnight at Marari.
You will spend 5
nights at Marari Beach, a paradise of Sun, sea, sand and surf.

Day 14 Departure
It is time to bid farewell. Drive to Kochi Airport / Railway station to
