Day 01 Arrive Chennai
Arrive Chennai, the Gateway of South India. Chennai grown has metropolis
is the fourth Largest City in the country but still retains a charm
characteristic of the typical South Indian heritage and way of living. On
arrival you will be met and transferred to hotel.
Day 02 Chennai
Full day excursion to Kanchipuram and Mahabalipuram.
Kanchipuram, the city of 1000 temples. It is considered as the second
holiest city in India next to Varanasi. Visit Vaikuntaperumal temple,
Ekambareeswarar and Varadarajar temple. Kanchipuram is famous for its
exquisite silk sarees. Visit the handloom and shop if you please. Drive to
Mahabalipuram, the only surviving shore temple. It boasts of some of
India's most sublime rock cut art comprising of Arjuna's Penance - the
largest open-air bass-relief, Five Rathas, structured temples, man-made
caves and chariots.
Day 03 Chennai
After breakfast, city tour of Chennai. Visit National Art Gallery and
Museum which has a selection of ancient paintings of almost all schools as
well as section devoted to modern art, Fort St. George, St. Mary's Church,
Drive along Marina Beach (the second longest in the world), San Thome
Cathedral, Mylapore Shiva Temple and shopping. Check-out at 1200 hrs from
the hotel. Late evening transfer to railway-station for overnight journey
to Madurai. Overnight in train.
Day 04 Madurai
Morning
arrive Madurai and transfer to hotel to check-in. Visit Meenakshi temple,
famous for its Court of Thousand Pillars, built in 1560 A.D and visit to
the temple to witness the famous night ceremony when the Temple bronze of
Lord Siva is carried to the bed chamber of Goddess Parvathy to the
accompaniment of religious prayers and music. Also visit Thirumalai
Nayak's Palace- A gracious building in the Indo Saracenic style, famous
for the Stucco work on its domes & arches, and Gandhi Museum.
Day 05 Periyar
You will be taken to one of the best game sanctuaries in India - Periyar
Wildlife Sanctuary. Your journey to Thekkady is through breathtaking,
winding, dense rubber, etc; do not forget your camera. A boat ride on the
spending Lake Periyar is the best way to experience the sanctuary. Visit
the Spice plantations like cardamom, cinnamon, pepper, coffee and tea
estates. On your way back to hotel, you can shop at the local market and
pick up some fragrant spices.
Day 06 Trivandrum
Drive to Trivandrum viewing the scenic beauty, the capital of Kerala and
transferred to hotel in Trivandrum. Later visit Padmanabhaswamy temple,
Napier Museum, Zoological Garden, Veli Tourist Village, Chitra Art Gallery
and Horse Palace.
Day
07 Trivandrum
After breakfast, Day free in Trivandrum or optional tours to Cape Comorin
(KanyaKumari - the southern most part of India) or nearby places like
Kovalam beach, etc. Overnight Trivandrum.
Day 08 Kochi
After breakfast drive to Thottapally. Take a boat cruise to Allepey and
enjoy the scenic beauties through a backwater cruise. Your car will report
to you at Allepey and take you to Kochi. On arrival check-in at hotel. If
time permits, spend around Kochi city shopping for handicrafts, antiques
and other traditional goods. Witness the traditional Kathakali Dance Show
in the evening.
Day 09
Kochi
After breakfast, city tour of Kochi. One of the finest natural harbours on
the Arabian Sea coast, Kochi, earlier known as Kochi, has been a pot of
call for foreign traders from early times. Kochi is the natural harbour
created by the famed underwater Malabar mud-banks whose quality ensures
that the rougher the seas are outside and the calmer waters are within the
Harbour. Vasco-da-Gama placed it on the world map. It has a Jewish
synagogue, Portuguese churches, mosques and Hindu temples. Watch the
Chinese Fishing Nets. Checkout at 1200 hrs. Transfer to railway-station
for overnight journey to Bangalore. 
Day 10 Bangalore
Morning arrive Bangalore and transfer to hotel followed by breakfast. Afternoon
City tour of Bangalore, visit the Lal Bagh with a variety of old trees,
fountains, lotus pools, terraces & an assortment of tropical and
sub-tropical herbs. Also have a glimpse of Fort & Tipu Sultan's Palace,
Vidhan Soudha, Bull temple at Basavangudi and Cubbon Park. Overnight
Bangalore.
Day 11 Mysore
Morning visit the palace of the Maharaja built in 1911 - 1912. The palace
is of harmonious syntheses of the Hindu and Saracenic styles of
architecture with archways, domes, turrets, colonnades and sculptures
which are magnificent. Visit the Art Gallery; drive upto Chamundi hill to
see Chamundeshwari Temple and a panoramic view of Mysore. On the way back,
see the Nandi Bull. Afternoon free. Overnight Mysore.

Day 12 Chennai
Day free. Transfer to Railway Station to catch the train for Chennai.
Arrive Chennai & transfer to hotel.
Day 13 Departure
Transfer to airport to board flight to onward destination.
